Tamara is a yoga instructor and soon-to-be certified nutritionist.

We were both so excited for this shoot!! We got up super early to catch sunrise. It was a bit cloudy that day so we didn’t get any colours, but the mood was actually perfect to get these pure, clean, minimalist shots.

Tamara is in the process of launching her beautiful business, where she helps her clients get back in touch with their bodies, and normalize the fact that we come in all shapes, colours and sizes, and that everyone is equally as beautiful.

To quote her, “no matter what we’ve been through, what we’ve done, what we do, whether we like ourselves or not… our bodies support us. Our bodies are a reflection of the Earth our Mother who is here for us, no matter what. And we are entitled to feel at home in our bodies”.

“This was such a transformative experience. First off, the circumstances of having to reschedule twice were really intense as I had a miscarriage the week we were supposed to shoot, (btw, I don’t know how to take this, Universe LOL). I was so moved by your patience, generosity and kindness, and by your flexibility.

I struggle a lot with impostor syndrome and body image issues, and from the first time we were in touch you’ve made me feel seen, legit and that I was much more than just a plus-sized-chronically-ill body.
The day of the shooting you showed up with a basket of goodies that I was NOT expecting at all and totally warmed my heart.

Time went by so quickly and aside from your professionalism and savviness as a photographer, you made me feel safe and respected, you held space for me as an entrepreneur and “photography subject”, but also as a woman, as a grieving mother, as a human being on a healing journey and I couldn’t have dreamed of a better person to entrust such a vulnerable and special moment to.

I’m tearing up as I write these words but it truly feels like a gift from the Universe and I am grateful that I was gifted amazing photos that I can use on my platforms, but also with a friend and a wonderful life experience.
